We went from board games to mind games to being bored of games.
You say I don’t have a competitve bone in my body,
but you tell me you’re always intimidated
by the things that I do and what I embody.
You say I stress myself out about situations that might never happen,
but you push me to the edge till I’m at the end of my Latin.
You seem shy about everything you do,
I act like I have no shame.
Our differences are pulling us apart,
but we keep going until we slowly
drive each other insane.
We argue about our future, about trivialities, about who messed first.
We won’t stop until we bring out each others very worst.
We argue and argue so much, I forgot
why we even started in the first place.
We both act like this is hot,
cause we don’t want to wake up
and glare into another person’s face.
When I said I like it misty, rainy, cold,
you said you prefer it breezy, warm, and tender.
I thought we were talking about temperatures,
turns out you meant my temper.
When I first saw you, our eyes met
and I wanted you to be mine.
When I left you, I knew you were
the only man who had made me feel alive.
