What is Freedom?

We are stuck in this spiral galaxy called milky way,
stuck on this ambivalent planet,
stuck behind human-drawn territories,
stuck in cities,
no matter how large, still too familiar to me.
We are stuck inside buildings with different connotations,
stuck, living meaningless lives.
But most important of all,
we are stuck inside bodies,
bodies that don’t always allow us to be who we want to be.
But when I see the shiny stars in the night sky,
I know that my spirit is absolutely free
and that my thoughts only belong to me.

  1. Sehr schöne Poesie Elena, ehrlich und aus der Seele kommend. Wunderbar! Weiter so! “Apathy” war mein Favorit…

    1. Danke für das nette Kompliment! Ich gestalte momentan die Webseite neu und werde nach und nach alle Gedichte erneute in Textform hochladen ☺️

  2. Words of wisdom right there. Decided to follow on this alone lol authenticity is a rare thing these days 🙂

    1. It actually is. I feel like everyone is just trying to do stuff to gain more followers or please others…

      1. Absolutely. Playing “characters” who will draw the most traffic lol its sad, cause underneath all that is someone far more interesting.

      2. Nowadays people are only being reduced to their bodies or they even choose to define their identity through their body. Which of course if also okay but sometime I want to know a little bit more about their inner life, their thoughts, etc.
