I study twelve hours a day
and when I don’t study, I work
and when I don’t work, I clean this apartment and when I don’t clean this apartment,
I spend time with you.
Today you told me if we ever had kids you would want me to stay at home,
so you can make your dreams come true, so you can live your life,
so I would end up raising the kids alone.
In the end, I get to work hard over ten years
to wash my parents’ money down the drain? Is that what you’re trying to say?
Do you think I’m insane?
In the end if I want a family
I should throw my career away? So you actually think that’s okay?
I sleep less than five hours at night
and when I don’t dream my life is a fight.
Are my ambitions less worth than yours?
So I can walk out of uni and scrub bathroom floors? So I can be with a man who gives a damn.
about my dreams.
Is that what you mean?
This 21st century dystopia makes me scream.
